Dear Mother and Father,
Just a line in answer of your kind letter which I was please to have and glad to hear you are going on alright.
Fred has had a good time then in England. I just say he would sooner stop there to then come back to France.
I don't know when I will get my leaf [leave] now. Sometime this year now. Although I am happy but still I would like to come and see you.
I am sorry about Father poisoning his hand. Let’s hope it will soon be better. I am glad to hear his got good crops this year as things will be dear in the winter.
Next time you write just send a packet of Epson Salts in the envelope as a good clear out wouldn't be amiss just now.
You say you have just had a good shower but it's a long shower what we getting out here nearly a fortnight.
Well I think I have told you all as I can think off just now. Of course you can see I have wrote it in a hurry. You no your son bunny is not a short hand writer.

Well I will be please to hear from you as soon you can write so I can hear a bit more news about Fred.
I hope it is write I just say Alfie’s (?) Mother has to send him a little bit in a bottle. How did you manage to poison your hand fruit picking? I suppose earning to much money.
The card has a nice piece of reading on. I won't be sorry when I am do it either.
The first chance you get send the salts. I don't like to trouble you but I want some medicine just now.
I haven't anymore news to tell you just now.
